Ida Vance is President and Founder of Speaking For Success, LLC.   As a motivational speaker/trainer/consultant, she leverages her life’s work and personal experiences in ways that positively influence the world around her by teaching, motivating, inspiring and building others up. 




She has a 25 year background as a corporate administrator with a Fortune 500 Company, Honeywell Bull Int'l. After transitioning from corporate, Ms Vance started her own business as an Independent Sales Director with an international cosmetics company, Mary Kay Cosmetics.  Because of her 15+ years of successful sales and recruiting efforts, she was selected by her peers and appointed by the corporate office as charter member of the prestigious Black Women’s Advisory Committee.  In that position, Ms Vance represented world headquarters as spokesperson to the media, through television, radio and national magazine appearances.  She is an ad-junct instructor at the GE School of Theological Learning and teaches classes on the subject of Understanding People.

 

A graduate of the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Leadership Detroit program (LDXVll), Ms Vance has received many awards in recognition of her untiring service to the community including the Spirit of Detroit Award and as a volunteer speaker for  United Way Community Service.  

.She has served as a board member for the Women’s Economic Club of Detroit, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), The Michigan Metro Girl Scout Council; The Detroit Women’s Forum and is a founding member of The Alliance for a Safer Greater Detroit, She  has two published articles on Community Safety (1998), and is the recipient of a Senate Concurrent Resolution Award.   Currently, Ms Vance serves as the President of the Oak Park Toastmasters Club.
